D-Air Capital is a regional Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament series hosted in Wichita, Kansas. As a combined effort of Wichita State University ESports, Wichita Melee and SoKan Smash, the tournament's brand brings together the legacy of Kansas Smash with the history of Wichita.

Since 1928, Wichita has been known as the Air Capital of the World. The title celebrates the city's innovation in aviation throughout history. Acknowledging this theme, the branding for D-Air Capital utilizes elements of flight, movement and the visual effects from getting knocked into the blast zone in Super Smash Bros.
The term "D-Air" refers to a downward aerial attack, typically sending opponents dangerously downwards.
These attacks are also referred to as "spikes" or "meteors".
